Congratulations on finding one of our unique travel-stones!

Around the world are now currently travelling X stones with the same destination and goal in mind. All of them doing a #RoadToAfrica .

You may be wondering, what is #RoadToAfrica ?

#RoadToAfrica is a world-first unique Bitcoin-event.
The year 2024 is the year of the 4th Bitcoin halving!

To commemorate this event have we decided to make the entirety of 2024 about helping and highlighting Bitcoin-centric organizations, businesses and educational foundations.

In this first series of events, we want to highlight the great work that is being done by BitcoinDada

What is BitcoinDada?

Bitcoin Dada is a women centric entity that is working towards educating African women into Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Dada was founded to try to resolve three issues in the ecosystem: first, to reduce the knowledge barriers for everyday women to enter the Bitcoin world; second, to make bitcoin relatable to the masses; lastly, to narrow the gender divide in this space through education, community, and social network platforms.

What is the goal of these travel-stones?

These travel-stones have, next to unique designs, all a common destination where we would love for them ending up: Africa.

To be more precise, we want them traveling from their starting location in Belgium ALL THE WAY into the hands of BitcoinDada’s CEO: Marcel Atieno by the end of 2024!!!

As this event is about supporting the mission of BitcoinDada, people can make a donation on the following Bitcoin Lightning Address. All donations made throughout the year will be gathered and sent to BitcoinDada directly. Regular updates of the funds donated will be made on twitter (X) on my personal page (as well as people sharing pictures where the stones currently are).

Stone 1

#RoadToAfrica chocolat -stone.

Belgium is regarded worldwide as one of the most important countries where it concerns chocolate. In this little event, I thought it would be fun to share and reference towards one of our most known confectionaries. Full history on Belgium and its history with chocolat can be found here.

Stone 2

#RoadToAfrica Belgian Fries -stone

Fries are known worldwide and have been historically created in Belgium. During WW II, the America’s found out about this tasty snack and brought it back home. The recipe itself hails from the French-speaking areas of Belgium which resulted in historical doubt of where they originated from and made people believe they originated in France. (French Fries).

Stone 3

#RoadToAfrica BabyHodler / Remus -stone

This little stone is inpired on the designs of The Little Hodler .
We found a fan-based designed which had a bow-tie on her head and decided to change it to a little baby boy hodler. I choose to take this design to both celebrate the birth of my boy Remus (hence the second name) as well as give a little wink to the cute and educational comics of TheLittleHodler.
